Colorado, Aurora : A five-car crash near Del Mar Park in Aurora leaves one dead on Sunday, 17th June 2018

AURORA | A five-car crash near Del Mar Park left one person dead Sunday afternoon.

The crash happened about 12:15 p.m. at Del Mar Circle West and East Sixth Avenue, near the northwestern edge of the park.

Aurora police said a Nissan sedan was northbound on Del Mar Circle when a GMC pickup truck eastbound on Sixth Avenue slammed into it. Those two vehicles then slammed into three others at the intersection, police said.

The driver of the Nissan, a woman whose name has not been releases, was rushed to a local hospital where he or she later died. Police said it isn’t clear of the Nissan driver died from injuries caused by the crash or if he or she had a medical condition contributing to the death.
