Two people were killed early Sunday morning in a high-speed motorcycle crash.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported that at 2:55 a.m., Ronald Richard Garber, 35, Meade, was heading east on K-23 in a 2006 Fat Boy Harley-Davidson at a high rate of speed.
He tried to exit onto V Road, about eight miles south of Meade, when he lost control of his motorcycle, laid it on its side and struck a sign post, ejecting both himself and his passenger, Sarah Marie Adkins, 32, Russell,
according to the crash log.
Garber and Adkins died on scene and were taken to Fidler-Orme Bachman Mortuary.
It was not noted how fast Garber was going.
Neither was wearing a helmet.
