OROVILLE, CA : Deadly crash on Highway 70 and Montgomery Street on Tuesday, 4h June 2024

One person died in a two-vehicle crash on Highway 70 and Montgomery Street around 10 a.m. on Tuesday.

The CHP said a Ram pickup truck and a white vehicle were involved in the crash. One person was in the Ram pickup, and two people were in the white vehicle.

The CHP said the Ram rear-ended the white vehicle. The person who died was in the white vehicle.

Drugs and alcohol are not a cause at this point, but the CHP said it is still investigating. CAL FIRE, the CHP, Oroville police and the Butte County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene.
