Jacksonville, FL : Young motorcyclist died after collision with a car on the Northside on Thursday night, March 26, 2015
A motorcyclist was killed in a collision with a vehicle Thursday night on Jacksonville's Northside, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.
Police said the motorcyclist, later identified as 20-year-old Austin Keith, was heading north on Yellow Bluff Road and crashed into the side of another vehicle as it was turning off Foxwood Heights Circle South.
The driver of the car was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
The JSO Traffic Homicide unit is working to determine if the weather played a factor in the crash.
"It is raining -- very hazardous conditions to be on the road, especially on a motorcycle, so we want to urge everyone to please use safety," said Lt. Billy Wilkerson with JSO. "It's very slick, it's very dangerous, and not everybody can see you, especially on a motorcycle."
Charges are pending, and no one else was hurt.
