Watertown,SD : Rollover accident causes minor injuries on June, Friday 30th 2017
A driver and passenger avoided serious injuries Friday afternoon when their vehicle overturned and landed in what Watertown Fire Rescue described as a small amount of water.
The accident occurred three miles southeast of Watertown at the intersection of County Road 9 (458th Avenue) and 175th Street.
WFR reports the vehicle left the road and struck a culvert, flipped over and landed on its top. Both occupants were able to leave the vehicle and call for help.
One male was treated for minor injuries but refused transportation to a hospital. The female occupant was not injured.
WFR's report did not indicate if either was wearing a seat belt.
A towing company's boom truck lifted the vehicle onto the roadway where it was hauled away.
