The Charleston County Coroner's Office has identified two people who died in an early-morning crash Wednesday in Lincolnville.
Authorities say 32-year-old Alesha Wright of Ladson and 32-year-old Michael Wright Jr., also of Ladson, died on scene from blunt force injuries.
The single-vehicle crash happened some time after 4 a.m. on Lincolnville Road near Owen Drive, Charleston County Sheriff's Maj. Eric Watson said.
Investigators say a 2009 Nissan Altima was traveling at a high rate of speed when it left the roadway and collided with a tree.
Both the driver and the passenger died at the scene, Watson said.
The Charleston County Sheriff's Office Traffic Division and the Charleston County Coroner's Office are investigating.
