UNION CITY, CA : Car crash leaves two men with major injuries on Saturday, November 26th 2016
Union City police officers responded to a car crash Saturday morning that left two men with possible life-threatening injuries and shut down a major roadway for much of the day.
Police responded to the collision at 8:24 a.m. after a van carrying five adult males travelling northbound on Union City Boulevard crashed into a signal-light pole at the intersection of Bettencourt Way.
All five men in the van were transported to local hospitals. Two of the five men suffered possible life-threatening injuries, according to police officials.
Part of Union City Boulevard northbound near the intersection was closed until about 3 p.m. Saturday.
The Union City Police Department Traffic Unit is investigating the collision and is urging anyone with further information about the crash to contact the traffic unit at (510) 675-5221.
