LEAMINGTON, UT : 2 dead after crash in Millard County on Tuesday, 20th October, 2020

Two men died after a head-on crash Tuesday in Millard County, authorities said.

The crash took place about 5:30 p.m. on state Route 132 just east of Leamington, according to a news release from the Utah Highway Patrol.

A Nissan Pathfinder heading east on the highway crossed the center line, crashing nearly head-on into a westbound Ford F-150 pickup truck.

The Nissan SUV spun and stopped in the middle of the road, blocking both lanes. The Ford spun and then went off the north side of the road, stopping near a fence.

The male drivers were the only occupants in each vehicle, and neither man was wearing a seat belt, the news release said.

The deceased driver of the Nissan Pathfinder was identified as 37-year-old James D. Manis, of Delta.
