Concord, NH : Woman in critical condition following crash into Merrimack River on Tuesday, 9th October 2018

A woman is in critical condition after police say the SUV she was in drove off Interstate 93 northbound near Exit 14 in Concord, New Hampshire, and eventually landed upside down in the Merrimack River.

New Hampshire State Police were called to the scene at 5:30 p.m. Monday, along with a Concord fire and rescue team, police said in a news release.

The vehicle was completely underwater, and rescuers pulled out the woman, who was the only person in the SUV, once they were able to stabilize it. She was then brought to a hospital, police said.
