Salina, NY : Woman died in a head-on crash in upstate New York on Saturday, May 21, 2016
Police are investigating a head-on crash that killed a woman in upstate New York.
The Onondaga County sheriff's office says the crash happened at about 12:40 a.m. Saturday in the town of Salina.
They say a Lincoln Continental traveling eastbound on Old Liverpool Road crossed over into the westbound lane and hit a Mercedes.
The driver of the Lincoln, a woman in her 60s, was extricated from her badly damaged car and taken to a hospital. She was pronounced dead there. Her name was not immediately released.
The driver of the Mercedes sustained minor injuries.
