CHELAN COUNTY, WA : 4 injured after head-on collision on SR 97 in Chelan County on Monday, 8th January 2024

Four people were injured and transported to the hospital after a head-on collision in Chelan County Monday afternoon.

On Jan. 8 around 1:45 p.m., Washington State Patrol (WSP) troopers were called to an injury collision on SR 97 near Blewett.

WSP released that an uninvolved semi jackknifed on SR 97 and was blocking northbound and southbound lanes.

A vehicle traveling northbound attempted to pass the semi by going into a no passing zone into oncoming traffic. The driver struck a vehicle driving southbound head-on.
