Gulfport, MS : Four people injured in Hwy. 49 rollover wreck on Tuesday, March 8, 2016

A wreck involving two vehicles caused traffic delays on Highway 49 just north of the Highway 53 intersection around 4 p.m. Tuesday.

Sgt. Damon McDaniel, spokesman for the Gulfport Police Department, said a black Nissan pickup truck caused the accident when it ran a red light and hit a minivan. The truck overturned as a result of the collision.

McDaniel said four people had to be taken to the hospital to be treated for non-life threatening injuries.
