ANSONIA, CT : 145 remain without power in Ansonia after crash knocks down wires on Wednesday, 26th August, 2020

More than 2,000 United Illuminating customers lost power in the city after a crash knocked down a tree, taking down wires and knocking out electricity Wednesday afternoon.
The crash happened in the area of Tremont Street, causing a tree to fall on wires, officials said.
The outage was recorded by UI at 3:24 p.m. There were 2,424 UI customers without power in that area of the city, including City Hall. The utility company said a crew was dispatched to the incident and would have power restored by 7:30 p.m.
