West Hartford, CT : Farmington High School student injured in school bus crash at New Britain Avenue and Oakridge on Wednesday, 18th December, 2019

A high school student was taken to the hospital to be treated for a minor injury after a teen driver with a snow-laden car drove into her school bus Wednesday morning, police said.
The crash happened about 8:30 a.m. at New Britain Avenue and Oakridge, police said. There were 16 Farmington High School students on the bus, police said.
The student with the minor injury was taken to the hospital as a precaution, according to Lt. Timothy McKenzie. The others got on a different bus and were taken to school.
The 16-year-old was cited for a stop sign violation. Snow and ice on his car created a blind spot, causing him to pull out from a side street into the side of the bus, McKenzie said.
