One person was killed and multiple others injured in a Sunday morning crash on Interstate 80 East in the area of milepost 298.5 in Pocono Township.
The crash involved a tractor-trailer and other vehicles, according to the Monroe County Control Center.
The name of the deceased is being withheld until their family has been notified.
That section of I-80 East was closed for several hours. Traffic was rerouted off I-80 onto Interstate 380 and back on in Bartonsville.
Pocono Township Fire Department, St. Luke’s EMS and Pocono Mountain EMS assisted at the scene. The investigation is ongoing.
