A pedestrian was killed Wednesday morning after a car drove onto a sidewalk and hit them.
Police say the victim, a 46-year-old man, was walking in front of the Discount Tire on North Academy at 4:07 a.m. when the driver, a 61-year-old man, abruptly rolled up over the curb directly in the pedestrian’s path.
“The driver of the vehicle immediately pulled over and called 911,” police said.
The pedestrian, however, died before he could be transported.
