A Greenwood man died in a wreck Monday morning in Laurens County, according to officials.
Jeffery Allen Morris, 50, of 508 Bond Ave., Greenwood died at 6:15 a.m. Monday, said Laurens County Deputy Coroner Vickie Cheek.
Morris was driving a 1996 Chevrolet pickup truck north along U.S. Highway 25 Monday morning, near Cleve Knight Road, about 4.6 miles north of Ware Shoals, said Lance Cpl. Justin Sutherland with the state Highway Patrol.
The driver of a 1999 Mazda pickup truck was driving south along the highway when he crossed the center median, hitting Morris’ truck, Sutherland said. Morris died at the scene, and the driver of the Mazda was injured and taken to Greenville Memorial Hospital for treatment, Sutherland said.
