NEWARK, DE : 2 diners injured when car crashes into McDonalds in Newark on Monday, November 21st 2016
Delaware State Police say two diners were hurt when a car crashed into a fast-food restaurant in Newark.
The agency said in a news release that the crash occurred Monday afternoon at the McDonalds on Ogletown-Stanton Road. Troopers say 73-year-old Thomas Harding of Bear was backing his car out of a parking space, the vehicle continued across the parking lot and drive thru lane.
Police say the car backed into the building and stopped just inside the restaurant.
Authorities say a customer in restaurant was hit by the car; another was hit by a table. Both were taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Harding was cited for careless driving.
