PHOENIX, AZ : 1 person hospitalized after 5-car crash in Phoenix on Friday, 23rd May 2024

One person was sent to the hospital after a multi-car crash early Friday morning.

Authorities say police responded around 8:15 a.m. to the area of Indian School Road and Central Avenue for reports of a crash involving multiple vehicles. When police arrived, they found five vehicles involved in the collision.

One man was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police believe impairment was a factor in the collision, but details are still under investigation.

Video from Arizona’s Family News Chopper showed at least three cars seriously damaged in the crash, with one on top of another.
