Township of Herman, WI : Appleton area man dead in crash in Shawano County on Tuesday night, March 14, 2017

One man is dead following a Tuesday night car crash in Shawano County.

The crash happened at 8:50 p.m. at the intersection of State 29 and County U, according to a Shawano County Sheriff's Office news release.

A vehicle heading southbound on County U entered the intersection and was struck by a vehicle that was traveling eastbound on 29.

Dale M. Lillge, 63, from the Appleton area, died at the scene.

Lillge was a passenger in one of the vehicles. Authorities did not say which vehicle Lillge was in.
