NEW HAVEN, CT : Two pedestrians killed in crash near the corner of Grand and Blatchley avenue on Tuesday, 27th August 2019

City police identified the two pedestrians recently struck and killed by a car near the corner of Grand and Blatchley avenues Tuesday.
Carlos Kercado, 42, and Emmanuel Torres, 32, both of New Haven, died after the Friday night crash, Sgt. Shayna Kendall said in a release.
Kendall previously said officers responded to the intersection at 11:03 p.m. Friday to investigate a vehicle striking a building. The driver was extricated from the vehicle; a passenger in the car left the scene.
Two pedestrians were found pinned between the car and the building, Kendall said.
