BOLTON, VT : A man was injured a rollover on I-89 on Sunday June 4, 2017
Police say a man was injured a rollover on I-89 after falling asleep at the wheel on Sunday.
State police were summoned at 5:57 a.m. to find a Mazda driven by Josiah M. Lejuwaan, aged 21, of Santa Anna, California, overturned on its roof.
Police said Lejuwaan fell asleep while driving northbound when his car left the road and sideswiped a large boulder in the median and overturned.
Lejuwaan sustained fractured ribs and a collapsed lung as a result of the collision and was transported to University of Vermont Medical Center for treatment.
Police said speed and impairment did not contribute to the accident.
Lejuwaan will be mailed a traffic ticket for failing to drive on a roadway laned for traffic.
