Lewistown,PA : Man arrested after accident on April, Tuesday 24th 2018

One man was arrested for multiple charges including DUI and child endangerment following an incident that occurred on April 14 on West Fifth St. in Lewistown.

According to a report from the Lewistown Police Department, officers were dispatched to 330 West Fifth St. for a report of a vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 3:13 p.m. on April 14. Upon arrival at the scene, officers made contact with Marcos Ortiz, the operator of the alleged striking vehicle. Through police investigation, Ortiz was found to be intoxicated while operating a vehicle with two children, ages 8 and 6, as passengers. Ortiz also allegedly provided a fake name to officers and had a suspended driver’s license.

Ortiz was arrested on two counts of endangering the welfare of children, as well as charges for driving under the influence, driving while suspended and providing false identification to law enforcement.
