Columbia, SC : A two-vehicle crash on Interstate 20 on Friday, October 6, 2017

A Lexington woman who was fatally injured in a two-vehicle crash on Interstate 20 on Friday has been identified by authorities.

Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher said Kristine Hoover, 49, lost control of her vehicle when she struck another while changing lanes about 7:30 a.m. Hoover then crashed into a barricade, which flipped her vehicle, Fisher said.

Hoover was not wearing a seatbelt and sustained several traumatic injuries, Fisher said. Hoover died at the scene.

Two passengers in her vehicle were rushed to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, the coroner said. The driver of the other vehicle had minor injuries.
