Arab, AL : Man killed and another person injured in a crash east of the city on Sunday night, August 14, 2016

A man from Arab was killed and another person injured Sunday night in a crash two miles east of the city.

Larry Dean Spain, 26, was driving a 1998 Honda Accord around 8 p.m. on Argosy Road when his car was struck by a 2001 Chevrolet, according to Alabama state troopers. Spain, who was not wearing a seat belt, died at the scene.

A passenger in his car was taken to a local hospital for treatment, though no condition was immediately available Monday morning. The driver of the Chevy was not injured.

The crash remains under investigation.
