Bode,IA : Algona man dies in Sunday rollover crash on May, Sunday 6th 2018

An Algona man is dead after he lost control of the truck he was driving Sunday morning near Bode.
Christopher McKenna, 33, was pronounced dead at the scene after emergency workers were called to a single-vehicle rollover crash around 7:20 a.m. on Humboldt County Road C20, or 130th Street, about 5 1/4 miles west of Bode, according to a press release from Humboldt County Sheriff Dean Kruger’s office.

Investigation of the scene found McKenna was westbound on 130th Street when he lost control and partially entered the south ditch before returning to the roadway, the release said.

The vehicle rolled multiple times, and came to rest on the roadway.

McKenna was not wearing his seat belt and was ejected from the vehicle, according to the report.

The 2001 GMC Yukon was considered a total loss.

The Humboldt County sheriff’s office was assisted at the scene by the Humboldt County medical examiner, Bode Fire Department, Bode first responders, Gilmore City ambulance and Jergens Wrecker Service, Humboldt.
