Hazleton, PA : Summit Hill man dies, two children survive crash on Saturday, 1st October 2016
A Summit Hill man died Saturday around noon in a one-car rollover crash in Mahoning Township.
Two children one in a safety seat; the other secured by a seatbelt survived with minor injuries police said.
The accident happened on Mill Road (Route 902) near the Summit Hill border when the driver of a Jeep Grand Cherokee failed to negotiate a downhill left curve, crossed the center of the road and hit an embankment, Mahoning Township police said.
The vehicle then rolled several times before coming to rest on its roof, a news release stated.
Anthony W. Williams, 34, died at the scene, according to police.
