TEHAMA COUNTY, CA : Man arrested for deadly crash on Highway 99 in Tehama County on Tuesday, 15th October 2024

A Chico man was booked into the Tehama County Jail Tuesday on suspicion of driving under the influence after a deadly crash on Highway 99 in Tehama County.

The California Highway Patrol says that at around 1:48 p.m. Tuesday, 43-year-old Andre Tucker from Chico was driving his 1997 Ford Expedition southbound on Highway 99 at a high rate of speed.

Authorities say that Tucker lost control of his vehicle and crossed over into the northbound lane of Highway 99, crashing into a 2015 Honda Accord.

After hitting the Accord, the Expedition traveled out of control and slammed head-on into a 2012 Toyota Prius that was traveling northbound on Highway 99.
