Oregon City,OR : Support pours in for Oregon City couple involved in motorcycle crash on July, Sunday 23th 2017

Support is pouring in for an Oregon City couple who were involved in a motorcycle accident Sunday night.

The Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office says Bryan and Liz Mitchell were riding their motorcycle and collided with a car on South Ridge Road.

The couple owns three restaurants in the area.

Dozens of customers at Redland Cafe on South Redland Road, which the Mitchell's have owned for 12 years, have signed posters that are displayed on the windows inside.

“It was scary,” said Becki Crane, a regular customer. “We’ll do everything we can to help them.”

“Glad they’re alive,” said Chuck Ellis, another local friend of the Mitchell's. “I can’t wait to see them again.”

Police say the passengers in the car did not have life threatening injuries, but Bryan and Liz were both taken to Oregon Health & Science University Hospital in critical condition.

Liz was upgraded to ‘fair’ condition Thursday.

“Both legs are pretty busted up. The right side of the body the most. Both each have their left hand though. and arm. I just told them you’ll be able to do all the things you did before, just have to do them a different way,” said 26-year-old Drew Mitchell, Bryan and Liz’s middle son.

He says neither of them have brain damage and they are both awake and talking as of Thursday. He says on Friday, both will undergo major surgeries.

The family isn’t asking for donations. They say if people would like to help, they can drop off a letter at one of their restaurants, Redland Cafe, Carver Hangar, or Eagle Creek Saloon, for Bryan and Liz to read while in the hospital.
