Victoria, TX : Pedestrian killed after being struck by a vehicle on U.S. 87 at Wood Hi Road early Sunday, October 2, 2016

A pedestrian was killed after being struck by a vehicle early Sunday south of Victoria.

The crash occurred at 12:49 a.m. Sunday on U.S. 87 at Wood Hi Road, said Sgt. Deon Cockrell, Department of Public Safety spokesman.

An investigation was ongoing, Cockrell said. The trooper handling the incident had not filed his report and could not be reached for comment, he said.
