PEORIA, IL : Peoria police cancel traffic collision alert on February, Sunday 4th 2018
Peoria police have canceled a traffic collision alert that was issued for the city about 2 p.m. Sunday.
The alert was canceled shortly after 4 p.m. Motorists who were involved in vehicle crashes that cause no injuries and all vehicles are drivable should exchange information and report the accident in person to the Peoria Police Department at 600 SW Adams St. within 36 hours after the end of the alert.
The city’s public works departments said crews are on the streets this afternoon salting the arterial streets during the snow.
“We are expected to receive in the range of a quarter to a half inch of snow accumulation today. Since we should receive less than two inches of accumulation, per our snow plan guidelines, we will not be plowing the residential streets, but we will treat the hazardous and trouble spots on residential streets as needed,” Sie Maroon, the city’s assistant public works director, said in the release.
