The Colorado Springs Fire Department was on the scene of an accident Friday afternoon that shut down the intersection of Bijou Street and Chelton Road.
According to the department, one person was taken to a local hospital for evaluation. Crews were asking people to avoid the scene as crews worked to clean up the area Friday afternoon.
There is no information at this time as to what led to the accident or the condition of the driver at this time.
