1 killed in fiery truck crash in Morgan County

One person is dead after an early morning crash in Morgan County, just southwest of Mooresville.

It happened earlier this morning along Bethesda Road, near State Road 42. The Morgan County Sheriff's Department says the driver of the pick-up was heading south on Bethesda Road when it went off the road and hit a tree. The pick-up truck then caught fire.

The Morgan County Coroner tells Eyewitness News that the driver of the pick-up was burned beyond recognition and that tests will have to be done to determine that person's identity.
