Los Angeles County, CA : One injured in a single-vehicle traffic collision on Interstate 5 near the Calgrove Boulevard off-ramp on Thursday, February 12, 2015

One person was injured and taken to the hospital this morning after his or her SUV rolled over near Calgrove Boulevard on Interstate 5, a spokesman for the Los Angeles County Fire Department said.

Shortly before 5:30 a.m. Thursday, paramedics were dispatched to a single-vehicle traffic collision in the northbound lanes of Interstate 5 near the Calgrove Boulevard off-ramp, said Fire Department Inspector Rick Flores.

“It was a report of a vehicle rollover with possible ejection,” he said.

Initial reports received by the California Highway Patrol described the SUV on its roof.

It’s unknown if the SUV’s occupant was ejected from the vehicle as reported, Flores said.

“One person was transported to a local hospital,” he said.

The identity, age and gender of the injured person was not disclosed.
