CORONA, CA : 1 killed and 5 hurt in crash at Temescal Canyon Road and Trilogy Parkway on Sunday, 19th January, 2020

One person was killed and five were hurt when a car crashed into a tree in the Temescal Valley south of Corona on Sunday night, authorities said.

It was reported at 10:28 p.m. at Temescal Canyon Road and Trilogy Parkway, according to the Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department.

Firefighters used extrication equipment to remove three patients from the car, then took them to hospitals, fire officials said. One person was pronounced dead at the scene.

The car was described as a gray Nissan sedan by witnesses to the California Highway Patrol, which was investigating the crash.

Temescal Canyon Road was closed between Squaw Mountain Road and Trilogy Parkway for the investigation.
