Three people received minor injuries Wednesday afternoon when a white Dodge pickup rear-ended a Cal Fire pickup west of Redding.
The accident was reported at 12:52 p.m. near the intersection of Placer Road and Plateau Circle, in front of the Centerville Volunteer Fire Department.
CHP Officer Joe Godman said a grandmother hit the back of the Cal Fire pickup as it waited to turn in the fire department. The two kids, whose ages were not known immediately following the accident, and their grandmother were transported to Mercy Medical Center with minor injuries.

It was initially reported as a head-on collision blocking the roadway, but officials later said it was a rear-end traffic accident and the vehicles were not obstructing traffic.
