BATON ROUGE, LA : Driver in fatal Airline wreck in the 10400 block of Airline Highway on Thursday, 25th July 2019

One person was killed in a wreck early Thursday morning.
Baton Rouge Police say the wreck happened before 5 a.m. on Thursday, July 25 in the 10400 block of Airline Highway.
Police say the driver of the 2019 Chrysler 300 C was headed south on Airline at a high rate of speed and somehow left the road, hitting a traffic light pole. After the impact, the vehicle caught fire, burning the driver.
Police say due to the severity of the fire, detectives were unable to identify the person. They are awaiting DNA results.
