SOUTH BAY, FL : FHP IDs trooper injured in motorcycle wreck on the 7800 block of U.S. 27, north of Okeelanta on Tuesday, 11th February, 2020

A Florida Highway Patrol trooper was injured Tuesday morning after falling off a motorcycle along U.S. Highway 27 south of South Bay, authorities said.

Sgt. Milton Busby sustained serious injuries in the crash, which took place at about 11:15 a.m. on the 7800 block of U.S. 27, north of Okeelanta. Busby was southbound when he fell from the bike, according to FHP.

Palm Beach County Fire Rescue authorities said Busby was in the road and the motorcycle was heavily damaged when they arrived.

Fire Rescue authorities flew Busby to Delray Medical Center, according to state authorities.
