Jonesborough, TN : One person dead and another injured in motorcycle, SUV crash on Highway 11-E and Hilbert Circle on Saturday night, May 2, 2015
One person is dead and another is in the hospital after a crash in Jonesborough Saturday night.
Washington County, Tennessee police tell News 5 that a Jeep Grand Cherokee crashed into a Harley-Davidson at the intersection of Highway 11-E and Hilbert Circle.
According to Sheriff Ed Graybeal, 50-year-old Daniel Fultz of Gray was riding the Harley Davidson eastbound on Highway 11-E when a Jeep Grand Cherokee driven by 40-year-old Jeremy Capps pulled out of Hilbert Circle into Fultz's lane.
Police say Fultz crashed into the driver's side of the Jeep and was thrown off the motorcycle. Washington County/Johnson City EMS and the Jonesborough Fire Department assisted in removing Capps from the Jeep.
Capps was transported to Johnson City Medical Center, and Fultz was pronounced dead at the scene, according to a news release.
The Washington County Sheriff's Office C.R.A.S.H Team is investigating the crash.
