Two vehicle accident slows traffic on Steese Highway

A two-vehicle accident is affecting the southbound lanes of the Steese Highway between Farmers Loop and Chena Hot Springs Road.

Alaska State Troopers spokeswoman Megan Peters said an accident between a semitruck and a grader isn't blocking the road, but drivers have been slowing down to look at it. Troopers are asking people to avoid the area. They suggest southbound drivers use the Old Steese Highway between Chena Hot Springs Road and Farmers Loop.
