MEADE, KS : 15-year-old Kansas boy killed when dirt bike crashes into pickup on Monday, 12th June 2023

A 15-year-old boy riding a dirt bike died Monday after crashing into a pickup truck in southwest Kansas.

The accident happened at around 5:15 p.m. on K Road just under a mile east of U.S. 54 in Meade County. The Kansas Highway Patrol reports the Kawasaki KX125 motorcycle came out of a field on the south side of K Road and struck a westbound Dodge Ram.

The teen riding the dirt bike, Michael Lowry of Meade, was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
