Chester, PA : 3-year-old dies, 5 people hurt in Northeast Extension crash on Monday night,July 20th 2015
A 3-year-old boy from Chester, Pennsylvania, was killed Monday night in a crash on the Northeast Extension of the Pennsylvania Turnpike in Carbon County, Pennsylvania State Police report.
The highway was closed at the Lehigh Valley exit and detours were in place after the 8:15 p.m. crash at mile marker 73.9 in East Penn Township, police said. The backup was at least four miles on the limited access road. The highway reopened at 1:31 a.m., a turnpike spokeswoman said.
