All 21 passengers were transported to three area hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries. Eight passengers were transported to Scott Memorial Hospital in Scottsburg, one was transported to Clark County Hospital in Jeffersonville, and twelve were transported to University of Louisville Hospital. Both ground and air ambulances were utilized to transport the injured. One passenger at U of L Hospital was listed in serious condition.
I-65 southbound was closed for approximately three hours as Indiana State Police Troopers and reconstructionist investigated the crash scene. Traffic was temporarily diverted on to southbound US 31 in Scottsburg.
