Flagler County, FL : Motorcyclist Richard K. Taylor of Palm Coast Killed in Head-On Collision With Pick-Up Truck on SR 11 early Tuesday morning, November 4, 2014

A 51-year-old motorcyclist was killed in a head-on crash in Flagler County on Tuesday morning, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. State troopers said Richard Taylor, of Palm Coast, was heading south on State Road 11 just after 6 a.m. when a pickup truck heading north entered into his lane to try to pass another vehicle and struck his motorcycle. Troopers said both vehicles then went off the roadway, and the motorcycle came to rest in the wood line. The driver of the pickup, 49-year-old E. Paul Gonzalez, of DeLand, told troopers he didn't see the motorcycle's headlight when he tried to pass another vehicle. Troopers said charges are pending.
