A motorist who died Friday morning in a rollover crash on Interstate 25 in Fountain has been identified as Skylar Jones, 33 of Colorado Springs, the Colorado State Patrol said Saturday.
Jones was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash, and speed and alcohol were not factors, the State Patrol said.
According to an initial report from the State Patrol, the driver of a gray Acura was traveling southbound on I-25 shortly before 7 a.m. Friday. The vehicle ran off the left side of the highway, tried to correct and oversteered to the right. The car rotated clockwise, careened across both southbound lanes and went off the right side of the road. The vehicle then rolled three times and the driver was ejected.
