Pittsburgh, PA : One killed, three injured in crash on Route 51 on Sunday, 14th August, 2016
The Allegheny County medical examiner’s office has identified the woman killed in a five-vehicle crash on Route 51 Sunday night as Maria Luevano, 40, of Willard, Ohio.
Ms. Luevano was a passenger in the vehicle that police believe initiated the crash at the intersection of Woodruff Street in the West End. Her death, pronounced at Allegheny General Hospital at 6:43 p.m. Sunday, was attributed to multiple blunt force injuries.
Three other people, including the man driving the car in which Ms. Luevano was riding, were injured. Injuries to the unidentified driver, who is in critical condition at UPMC Mercy, included a severed arm.
The two others whose vehicles were involved—a 58-year-old man driving an SUV and a 17-year-old driving a Volkswagen—suffered minor injuries.
Four others inside the vehicles were not hurt.
