Cloverdale,OR: One man killed by Drunk driver in Car Crash on Hwy 101 on Thursday, 23rd October 2014

A drunk driver sped through a corner on Highway 101 and drifted into oncoming traffic Thursday, slamming head-on into an oncoming car, Oregon State Police said. The driver of the car, Gerald Dee Will, 70, of Cloverdale died at the scene. State police arrested the driver of the pickup, Christopher Allen Fitch, 21, of Beaverton, on charges of Manslaughter in the Second Degree and DUII. Police said Fitch was driving with a suspended license and was on probation for DUII out of Clackamas County at the time of the crash. The crash happened around 3 p.m. The emergency response and investigation kept Hwy 101 closed in both directions until about 7 p.m. near Cloverdale.
