A Tampa man died after he was hit Sunday night by a pickup truck in Oldsmar.

Patrick Mongno, 65, was riding on the sidewalk along Hillsborough Avenue, the Florida Highway Patrol reported.

He was peddling past United Business Park just as Richard Charles Dacosta, 61, pulled his Ford F-150 into the driveway, according to the report.

Mongno wore no helmet, the Highway Patrol said. After the collision, he was taken to St. Joseph's Hospital in Tampa, where he died of his injuries.
