Las Vegas ,NV : Burglary suspect chased by police and his car crashes into wall on Friday ,May 22nd 2015

A burglary suspect being chased by officers crawled through a dog door, got into a car and crashed it through a closed garage door before he was eventually arrested, according to Metro Police.

Patrol officers responded about 3:25 a.m. today to a reported burglary at a business in the 1100 block of South Rainbow Boulevard near West Charleston Boulevard. They found a broken window and heard a burglar alarm sounding, police said.

About 10 minutes later, officers looking for stolen items, which were equipped with tracking devices, spotted a man driving recklessly on a moped near Charleston Boulevard and Torey Pines Drive, police said.

The man, later identified as Patrick King, 29, jumped off the moped and led officers on a foot chase into a nearby neighborhood, police said.

He crawled through a dog door at a home in the 6500 block of Laredo Street, got into a car in the garage and drove it through the closed door, police said. Police chased the car until it crashed through a block wall in the 2600 block of Sorrel Street, where King got into a vacant home and was arrested.

He was taken to the Clark County Detention Center and faces counts of burglary, petit larceny, grand larceny auto and destroying another person’s property, police said.
