A runaway truck crashed into a building in South Burlington Friday, causing heavy damage.
Police say a tractor-trailer was backed up to a loading dock at the Pepsi bottling plant. The driver was out of the vehicle when it rolled away down a slight grade, crashing into the vehicle maintenance garage. First responders need to be certain the building is safe.
"They just want to make sure the building is safe. We are making sure people can enter into the property and be safe," South Burlington Deputy Fire Chief Terry Francis said.
